Davis）的最新著作《Freedom Undone: the Assault on Liberal Values and Institutions in Hong Kong》，探討自2019 年抗爭運動、2020 年《國家安全法》以至 2021 年「愛國者治港」選舉制度以來，北京日益加劇的于預和打壓如何令香港失去法律制衡和公眾問責，並蠶食香港的司法制度及基本人權。香港政府亦計畫今年内通過 23 條立法，增加叛國罪、間諜罪和其他任意定義的罪行，因此深入討論現時和未來針對國家安全的立法，對香港司法制度及人權有甚麼影響，更顯迫切。 是次新書分享座談由國際特赦組織英國分會及Resilience Innovation Lab合辦，將以英語進行。除了作者戴大為教授本人，我們更邀得香港大律師黃瑞紅，及美國喬治城大學亞洲法中心研究員黎恩灝博士一起討論。

When dealing with security, you always want to leave room for scrutiny, and a few cryptography experts have criticized the system. Overall, any level of encryption is better than none, but a level of discretion should always be observed with any online connected system, even Telegram.
Should You Buy Bitcoin?
In general, many financial experts support their clients’ desire to buy cryptocurrency, but they don’t recommend it unless clients express interest. “The biggest concern for us is if someone wants to invest in crypto and the investment they choose doesn’t do well, and then all of a sudden they can’t send their kids to college,” says Ian Harvey, a certified financial planner (CFP) in New York City. “Then it wasn’t worth the risk.” The speculative nature of cryptocurrency leads some planners to recommend it for clients’ “side” investments. “Some call it a Vegas account,” says Scott Hammel, a CFP in Dallas. “Let’s keep this away from our real long-term perspective, make sure it doesn’t become too large a portion of your portfolio.” In a very real sense, Bitcoin is like a single stock, and advisors wouldn’t recommend putting a sizable part of your portfolio into any one company. At most, planners suggest putting no more than 1% to 10% into Bitcoin if you’re passionate about it. “If it was one stock, you would never allocate any significant portion of your portfolio to it,” Hammel says.
